Rumors are circulating at various social media platforms that Honda Civic Turbo 1.5 VTEC is coming back to Pakistan. However, it seems that it’s totally a hoax.
According to our sources in the auto industry, Honda has no plans to launch Honda Civic Turbo 1.5 VTEC in the country this year as the previous turbo car met with some negative feedback from the public and cost Honda loss of money.
After the issues got reported, the company had to seize the production of the civic turbo. The major problem with the car was the knocking of its engine which according to company was never their fault. Honda cited poor quality of fuel as the reason for this glitch in the car.
Pakistan is still having the same type of octane fuel all over the country with an increased amount of manganese in it. Although the new government vows to uplift the auto sector and the petroleum industry, still no progress has been made in order to push quality fuel in the country.
The scenario also shows that there is no sense in relaunching the Civic turbo as the circumstances are still the same.
Speaking of Honda Civic 2019, there are high chances that the company presents a facelift to Pakistani consumers as its about time now. The facelift version of civic has already been launched in Thailand and Malaysia while India is also going to have the latest version this year.
